Letter from the boss - Infy Narayana moorthy

by prabhu 14. March 2011 05:32

Mail sent by Narayan Murthy to all Infosys staff:

It's half past 8 in the office but the lights are still on...
PCs still running, coffee machines still buzzing...
And who's at work? Most of them ??? Take a closer look...

All or most specimens are ??
Something male species of the human race....

Look closer... again all or most of them are bachelors...

And why are they sitting late? Working hard? No way!!!
Any guesses???
Let's ask one of them...
Here's what he says... 'What's there 2 do after going home...Here we get to surf, AC, phone, food, coffee that is why I am working late...Importantly no bossssssss!!!!!!!!!!!'

This is the scene in most research centers and software companies and other off-shore offices.

Bachelors 'Passing-Time' during late hours in the office just bcoz they say they've nothing else to do...
Now what r the consequences...

'Working' (for the record only) late hours soon becomes part of the institute or company culture.

With bosses more than eager to provide support to those 'working' late in the form of taxi vouchers, food vouchers and of course good feedback, (oh, he's a hard worker.... goes home only to change..!!).
They aren't helping things too...

To hell with bosses who don't understand the difference between 'sitting' late and 'working' late!!!

Very soon, the boss start expecting all employees to put in extra working hours.

So, My dear Bachelors let me tell you, life changes when u get married and start having a family... office is no longer a priority, family is... and
That's when the problem starts... b'coz u start having commitments at home too.

For your boss, the earlier 'hardworking' guy suddenly seems to become a 'early leaver' even if u leave an hour after regular time.... after doing the same amount of work.

People leaving on time after doing their tasks for the day are labelled as work-shirkers...

Girls who thankfully always (its changing nowadays... though) leave on time are labelled as 'not up to it'. All the while, the bachelors pat their own backs and carry on 'working' not realizing that they r spoiling the work culture at their own place and never realize that they would have to regret at one point of time.

So what's the moral of the story??

* Very clear, LEAVE ON TIME!!!
* Never put in extra time ' unless really needed '
* Don't stay back unnecessarily and spoil your company work culture which will in turn cause inconvenience to you and your colleagues.

There are hundred other things to do in the evening..

Learn music....

Learn a foreign language...

Try a sport... TT, cricket..........

Importantly, get a girl friend or boy friend, take him/her around town...

* And for heaven's sake, net cafe rates have dropped to an all-time low (plus, no fire-walls) and try cooking for a change.

Take a tip from the Smirnoff ad: *'Life's calling, where are you??'*

Please pass on this message to all those colleagues and please do it before leaving time, don't stay back till midnight to forward this!!!

IT'S A TYPICAL INDIAN MENTALITY THAT WORKING FOR LONG HOURS MEANS VERY HARD WORKING & 100% COMMITMENT ETC.

PEOPLE WHO REGULARLY SIT LATE IN THE OFFICE DON'T KNOW TO MANAGE THEIR TIME. SIMPLE !

IF YOU LOSE YOUR MOBILE IN INDIA

by admin 7. January 2011 20:49

If u lose your mobile in India,

you can get it back.

Got an interesting fact to share.. Nowadays each one of us carries Hi-Fi Mobile devices and always fears that it may be stolen.

Each mobile carries a unique IMEI i.e. International Mobile Identity No which can be used to track your mobile anywhere in the world.

This is how it works!!!!!!

1. Dial *#06# from your mobile.
2. Your mobile shows a unique 15 digit.
3. Note down this no anywhere but except in your mobile as this is the No.
,which will help trace your mobile in case of a theft.
4. Once stolen you just have to mail this 15 digit IMEI No. to cop@vsnl.net
5. No need to go to police.
6. Your Mobile will be traced within next 24 hrs via a complex system of GPRS and internet.
7. You will find where your hand set is being operated even in case your No. is being changed.

SHARE THIS VERY IMP MESSAGE TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES.

If u lose your mobile, send an e-mail to cop@vsnl.netwith the following Info:

Your name:
Address:
Phone model:
Make:
Last used No.:
E-mail for communication:
Missed date:
IMEI No :

GLUE YOUR EMAILS WITH KEYGLOO

by admin 18. July 2010 18:31

What is Keygloo?

A software which protects Emails from possible privacy invaders like system administrators, network administrators, ISP networks, etc..

       A simple software that encrypts:

        Web-based Emails.

        Emails in Outlook Express.

Files and folders on the Desktop.

It uses Public-key Cryptography for its encryption.

Technology used

       Crptography

Uses a combination of public key and private key algorithms.

        RSA (1024 – bit) and AES (256 – bit).

Encryption is done using the public key and decryption is done using the private key of the recipient.

Keygloo Number

This is a 10-digit number, just like a mobile number, that is unique to every Keygloo-user.

This number is to be shared among the users for exchanging messages.

This way, only the intended person(s) will receive the email and no eavesdropper can peep into your private mail.

How to install it …

       Sign-up at www.keygloo.com

       Download the Setup files.

Install and Get the Keygloo number.

A new Keygloo toolbar will be set along with the other toolbars in the Browser.

Go ahead with encrypting and decrypting Emails.

  How to use it …

       Encryption

       Type the Email.

       Click Encrypt on the toolbar.

Provide the keygloo numbers of the recipients.

       Decryption

       Open the Email.

       Click Decrypt on the toolbar.

Provide the password for your private key.

What actually happens?

Look at the 2 emails above. First is a normal Email. This Email on Encryption using Keygloo reforms into something which looks like the second Email. The content is encrypted. Keygloo does the reverse using Decryption process.

Desktop encryption …

Encrypt your personal files/folders in your system.

Right-click on any of the files/folders you want to encrypt and choose Encrypt. The file changes into an encrypted file.

Right-click, choose Decrypt and decrypt the same by providing the password to it.

You can also encrypt and send a file through Email from the desktop itself.

Keygloo does not interfere with any of the system files.

Why is Keygloo unique …

       Very user friendly.

       Uses Industry standard algorithms.

Where HUSHMAIL users necessarily need to have a HUSHMAIL account, Keygloo provides easy interoperability.

Unlike PGP it is not complex and resource dependent.

       Free of cost.

Keygloo supports the following Hot email Clients – Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, Lycos.

Visit www.keygloo.com for more updates and enhancements. This is a freeware! What more do you want?!
